. One-time event announcements should be kept brief for readability and to conserve page space and will be put in the newsletter at no charge. On-going columns (organizations that advertise year-round) will be charged a nominal fee in an effort to cover some of the printing and distribution costs of the Community Connections newsletter. THE ELVES CLUB
The time is upon us to think about the Elves Club Hamper Campaign. Last year there was a treat response from school communities on the Sunshine Coast who prepared and delivered hampers to over 684 households. Each was filled with food, gifts, and extras to help bring the feeling of the season into everyone's homes.
We ask that you consider participating in the upcoming season's program by:
-putting a food collection box in your office or classroom
- ask family and friends to bring non-perishable food items to your gatherings
-make items to put into hampers such as decorations and small gifts
-give a toy or Grandparent gift to someone you have not met yet
